In May 2002 Jacque Reinig made her debut as a front-line Director
in Sweet Adelines with High Country. In her first Regional competition Jacque expertly directed High Country to
the 2003 First Place Division AA Mid-size Chorus award.
A native of Montana, Jacque has been a member of Sweet Adelines
since 1985, when she joined the Snowbird Chorus (Region 24) while attending Montana State University to get her degree
in Graphic Design. She quickly became the choreographer, joined a quartet, was elected to the Board of Directors and
agreed to be Show Chairman her senior year of college. Following college, she moved to Denver and attended her first
rehearsal of the High Country Chorus in 1987. The chorus promptly went to Hawaii and won the International Championship
that fall!
As a High Country member, Jacque has served on the Board of Directors, has been
on the front row of the chorus, has been a member of the Visual Team, eventually becoming the Visual Coordinator, and
has been a member of the Musical Advisory Committee. Her foray into directing began in 1995 when she was asked to become
an Assistant Director, where she served until becoming Director in 2002. She has served on the Regional
Convention Steering Committee as Public Relations Chair, and has designed several logos for Regional Competitions.
Jacque has been in three quartets, designed 75 costumes, and won a 4th
place Regional Quartet Medal. She sang tenor in all three quartets before switching to lead in the chorus in 1994. Jacque
has also enjoyed coaching men's and women's choruses and quartets throughout her Sweet Adelines career. She currently
choreographs and trains the “High Country on Tap,” dance group that she formed several years ago with members
from the chorus.
Jacque met the other love of her life in May 1998 and married Jay Reinig in
2000. They currently share their home with their cats Dude and Mystic and are avid Bronco Fans, love to play pool and
enjoy camping in the Rocky Mountains.
